performing arts

BIO
I grew up a dedicated musical theatre performer, but transitioned into digital media, communication and journalism as I entered higher education and professional life.
In the past few years, as I returned to school and gained experience producing podcast episodes, writing audio scripts, and recording interviews and voice overs alike, I have been reintroduced to the same part of myself that always loved performing arts. So, in my last semester of graduate school, I took a chance and auditioned for a musical after about a decade out of the game (think: high school). I was cast in the student run production of Anastasia, and something in my body shifted throughout the course of rehearsal and performance. I realized my first love was and is musical theatre.
No matter how much I love writing and researching and designing and working with various forms of modern media, I will always be a performer at heart. Lucky for me, interests and passions are not mutually exclusive. Now, I an on a mission to work at the intersection of new media/journalism and musical theatre, in any and all ways possible!
