journalism

I am a Los Angeles-based writer, communications strategist and multimedia storyteller with an M.A. in Specialized Journalism from USC Annenberg, where I dove deeper into the media production, reporting and technological sides of communication.

My cross-platform writing and story packages bring complex, sensitive, and ever-impactful topics to life. I don’t report news as it breaks. I analyze the media coming from those desks, and media of all forms, for deeper stories about the stories—What I call “media on media,” or had it not taken over the Facebook ecosystem, “meta media.”

One of my primary focuses as a journalist is integrating new and emerging technology with traditional journalistic principles to foster deeper media literacy and social impact. Whatever kind of work I produce, is informed by the technological know-how of a Bay Area baby, the production skills of a life-long media maker, the strategic edge of a master marketer, and the journalistic rigor of a well-researched reporter.

Most importantly, on a personal level, my approach to journalism is shaped by the creative flare for storytelling and entertainment of theatre-kid-turned-multi-hyphenat.
